I like quest bars although production quality per batch varies a bit more than i like. Ive tried many flavors, and i like almost all of them. Sometimes the quality varies in these from light and soft and fluffy, to dense and chewy, to rock hard. (Most of my purchases on amazon and from quest direct over the years have been good. Only about 3 orders have been bad for me over 4 years of buying quest bars. Im glad ive never gotten any moldy bars or handwritten notes inside the bars, like some other reviewers have mentioned.

I eat these because i have a late night sweet tooth and a slow metabolism due to hypothyroidism. I have a generally healthy low fat diet, and i do not eat a lot of sugar. Bearing that in mind, If you eat lots of sugar, and unhealthy or junk food, you will notice the aftertaste and differences in sweetener in these bars, and you might not like these bars.
For folks who are acustomed to sugar substitutes and healthier food options, these will be very pleasing, and closest to actual sweets and junk food when you crave it. These will be a great treat!

This batch was fresh and good. I hope my luck will continue in future orders.

I've been buying Quest protein bars from Amazon for several years. They always came in their original box and were fresh. This vendor shrink-wrapped them and sent them without any protection against shipping hazards. What arrived at my house was a clump of protein are that were barely edible (some actually weren't). These were also the only Quest bars whose wrappers were in English and Spanish, so who knows where they were manufactured? I will never use this vendor again, and I highly encourage others to look at other vendors for Quest bars.
