Keto Friendly Pico De Gallo Recipes

Pico De Gallo is Keto friendly, and you'll find different ways to prepare your Pico De Gallo. I like the traditional way of preparing Pico De Gallo. You need the following ingredients to prepare the traditional Pico De Gallo:

  • Roma Tomato (1 lb.)
  • White Onion (1 cup)
  • Serrano Pepper (1 only)
  • Fresh Cilantro (3/4 cup)
  • Kosher Salt (1 tbsp)
  • Lime Juice (3 tbsp)

Remove the stem area on the top of your Roma Tomatoes. I prefer using Roma Tomatoes. You can use any type of red tomato.

Dice your Roma Tomato. Do not remove the tomato seeds. Tomato seeds add a ton of flavor to your traditional Pico De Gallo.

Transfer the diced tomatoes to the bowl. It's time to take out your one large white onion. You can chop one-quarter of your large white onion.

I only use one-quarter of a large white onion. You can use as much onion as you want. You may shed some tears while dicing your large white onion. Do not worry. Onions add fantastic flavor to your traditional Pico De Gallo.

You want to prepare a spicy traditional Pico De Gallo. So, it's time to add your Serrano Pepper. Jalapeño tastes milder than Serrano. If you don't like too many spices in your Pico De Gallo, you can replace your Serrano Pepper with a Jalapeño.

You can also remove the seeds and veins from your Jalapeño (If you are using one!). I like a spicy traditional Pico De Gallo! I use only one Serrano pepper to prepare my traditional Pico De Gallo.

Keto Pico De Gallo

Dice your Serrano pepper and add it to your bowl. I always use kitchen gloves while dicing my Serrano pepper. It protects me from having spicy hands.

Look at your bowl. The colorful bowl will remind you of the Mexican flag. The traditional Pico De Gallo is Mexican cuisine, and I'm sure you'll love it!

I don't forget the Fresh Cilantro while preparing my traditional Pico De Gallo. I chop a half bunch of Cilantro for my traditional Pico De Gallo. Add your chopped fresh Cilantro to the bowl.

It's such an easy recipe. Now, it's time to take out the lime juice. Cut the lime in half. Squeeze it over the bowl to take out the delicious lime juice.

Lime juice alone cannot make your traditional Pico De Gallo delicious. You'll have to add salt to the bowl. Lime juice and salt add fantastic flavor to the Pico de Gallo.

I use one big lime that emits three tablespoons of juice. Add Kosher salt to the bowl. Mix everything in the bowl with a spoon. The colors will combine. Isn’t it beautiful?

Go ahead! You can now taste your delicious traditional Pico De Gallo!

There's almost no difference between the traditional Pico De Gallo and the other recipe of Pico De Gallo. The secret lies in pepper.

Let me share the secrets of the second recipe with you.

In the second recipe, you will have to substitute white onion with red onion. You will have to use a Habanero in the second recipe.

I love Habanero, but I also know how spicy it can be. I only use half of the Habanero in the second recipe.

I don't add Habanero veins and seeds in the second recipe. If you want to add them, it's your choice.

So, why do we use Habanero in the second recipe? Habanero adds a wonderful flavor and a beautiful aroma to Pico De Gallo.

Another secret to this second recipe of Pico De Gallo is an Avocado. Yes, you read it right! Avocado adds excellent flavor and taste to Pico De Gallo. I like adding Avocado to Pico De Gallo because it adds a creamy flavor to our Pico De Gallo.

The rest of the recipe is the same. It's always best to eat freshly prepared Pico De Gallo. Your Pico De Gallo is now ready to be served!
